Minnehaha Falls, Minnesota.
Spring, after the thaw.
The 53ft drop of the Minnehaha Falls is amazing to see, whether they be in full flow when the thaw comes in spring or frozen during winter. Even though it's discouraged people climb down to view the ice cave behind the icicles.
Henry Longfellow named Minnehaha in his famous poem The Song of Hiawatha after these Falls. He is reputed to have never visited them but was inspired by their description from a friend.
Frozen in winter.
